Our fountain is always popular with the birds, and now its become quite the hotspot in the early evening for the bathing beauties. Guests have commented how lovely it is to sip wine and nibble on gourmet cheeses while watching the birds play and sing!

This weekend: Calistoga’s Farmer’s Market is always a treat, and this weekend Chef Jeremy Peckham of Twin Pines Casino will be giving a demonstration, complete with samples and copies of the recipe!

Last week’s concert in the park was fantastic and fun, and I am looking forward to this week’s!  We’ve got Nuclear Blond performing, and next week we’ll have the Bluenote Cats!

Thursday, June 18th @ Pioneer Park, Calistoga, CA.  The music starts at 6pm and rocks on until 8pm.  Free to attend! Drinks available from Tri-Eagle Beverage and snacks from Calistoga Kitchen.

In Inn (hee hee, unexpected assonance) related news, the new headboards have been installed in a few of the cottages and they look fantastic!  The new look of our property is really shaping up in fun and sometimes unexpected ways, but all within the scope of our basic outlooks: to keep things fresh, elegant and promoting the feeling of relaxation for all of our guests. It is so exciting when the cottages get updated!! Our designer Monica Bootchek is installing new cloth headboards in several cottages. It should really transform the look.

Coming to stay with us this summer? Why not take a refreshing dip? Calistoga’s community pool is now open! I am so excited to be able to use this wonderful new facility.  It is located just a few short blocks away from Cottage Grove Inn. The cost for Adult General Admission is $6.00, and recreation swimming time is 11:30am – 5:45pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Hello readers! Breakfast is still going in the common room, and I can smell the delicious waffles and hot syrup.  We’ve had some exciting additions our breakfast offerings here at Cottage Grove Inn, and we hope you as our guests enjoy them too.

It looks to be a lovely weekend here in Napa Valley, temperatures mostly in the high 70’s. I was a little surprised about the possibility of rain next week! Oh well, even grapevines get thirsty.

We have just added several new adorable white cottage style bird houses on the property. Our family of finches approve because they have been chirping all day!!

We’re from Cottage Grove Inn, and we thought it would be fun to start a blog about our unique little Inn in the Napa Valley. Being in this place, we are constantly inspired to tell you stories of daily life in rural Calistoga and wine country in general.
